Lloyd served as a police officer before moving into medical training. He has travelled to over 50 countries often on training assignments or as a leader of teams exploring remote regions of the world.
He is qualified as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and works as a First Responder for the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Lloyd is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
