Marie is a trained wilderness EMT living in Louisburgh a small sea side town in the scenic West of Ireland. She has 2 decades of experience in outdoor casualty care through her job as resident nurse and centre manager in Delphi Adventure centre where she worked for 17 years and developed an extensive knowledge of the adventure industry in Ireland.
She has worked with a wide ranging variety of adventure providers such as surfiing, coasteering, caving, paddle sports and mountaineering instructors and enthusiasts.She has also been an active member of the busy Mayo Mountain Rescue team for 10 years.
In July 2013 she gave up the day job to become a free lance Remote Emergency care trainer full time and when shes not running courses she takes on shifts in the emergency department in the regional hospital to look after patients with a roof over their heads!
Maries courses are fun, lively and interactive and always tailored to the specific challenges faced by special interest groups in an outdoor environment.
